World Soybean Conference Prize Nomination
Dear Fellow Soybean Scientist:
The World Soybean Research Conference will introduce the World Soybean Conference Prize at the WSRC VIII being held in Beijing, China from August 10th-15th, 2009. The purpose of this prize is to recognize and honour outstanding soybean scientists from around the world. For this year's conference we will award 5 Prizes based on nominations from the soybean research community. This will be structured so that the award winners come from each of the four regions defined by the WSRC continuing committee plus an additional recipient from the host country, in this case China.
Any deserving living soybean scientist who is either retired or still active and has made outstanding contributions to soybeans can be nominated. Nominations should go to the continuing committee member in each region who is coordinating the process. The four regions are:
Region I - Canada and the United States of America
